I absolutely loved this movie! It is a comedy and does have a couple of words here and there that may not be suitable for small children. The main character in the movie does wear some racy clothing as she continues on her course of self-discovery, and decides that dressing conservative just does not fit her new reputation. Victoria's Secret and Fredrick's of Hollywood type of clothing worn to high school is not actually something that would be allowed in real life. This movie definitely shows what happens when one small amount of information is blown up and goes through a telephone type of friend line, becoming grossly distorted along the way. This movie also shows a lot of the interpersonal relationships between different characters, such as, best friends, frenemies, boy/girl, etc. It is nice to see a movie where the main character still has some morals and is willing to help out friends who just do not feel popular or accepted. There are quite a few stars in the movie, with Emma Stone being the main character, who gets into a situation at her high school while trying to impress her slutty best friend. I chose to purchase the Blu-ray version over the regular DVD, and it was a good choice, as the movie plays so much clearer and crisper. The movie was wrapped in plastic, and had the original cover, so it was not a knock off copy made by some backwoods person trying to pass it off as the original. Overall, a very good movie choice

I've decided to try to watch a movie every day during the Covid 19 lockdown. Today it was Easy A and it's one of the best movies I've seen yet. Emma Stone is always a joy to watch and this movie is no exception. When reading reviews of this movie it seemed that some Christians didn't feel that this movie treated them fairly. I don't share that opinion. In fact, this movie brought to mind the quote by Gandhi, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." Yes, exactly.

This movie is hilarious and it has always been one of the movies that I will put on to play in the background while cleaning or working. I know nearly every line. So I finally decided to buy the BluRay instead of waiting for it to appear on Netflix or Hulu or something. The copy I received works perfectly and now I can just "watch" it on repeat all day long.
The movie itself is a teen comedy but something that adults can easily enjoy. It has themes that are relatable for many, especially females. The supporting actors are just as good as the principal actors. If you don't laugh and/or relate to the "greeting card scene" then we can't be friends. :D

Easy A is a very funny movie starring the lovely and talented Emma Stone. It's clear Emma Stone has a quick wit and impeccable comedic timing by seeing her portray Olive, a modern day Hester Prynne who actually never commits adultery. (You can't ACT like you have good timing. You either have it or you don't.) Familiar faces like Penn Badgly, Amanda Bynes (pre-meltdown), Thomas Haden Church, & Lisa Kudrow are there for your viewing pleasure. Stanley Tucci & Patricia Clarkson steal the show as Olive's parents. They're a little hippie-dippy, very loving, and incredibly funny in these roles. Their characters have built a loving home for their daughter and adopted son. You can see where Olive gets her sense of humor as well as her compassion for people. We see it first in her desire to help a friend who is bullied at school because of who he is. This gives us the basis for the film and the ensuing story. Enjoy!

Will Gluck's 2010 film, "Easy A," loosely adapts Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1850 novel, "The Scarlet Letter." Like most teen shows, it incorporates the subject of review into the story itself, focusing on Olive Penderghast (Emma Stone), who becomes the target of rumors and must defend herself against religious wackos like Marianne Bryant (Amanda Bynes) and uptight teachers, including Mrs. Griffith (Lisa Kudrow). It's surprisingly faithful to the spirit of Hawthorne's original novel while also capturing elements of teen and internet culture in the late 2000s. A great comedy that's enhanced with the inclusion of Stanley Tucci, Thomas Haden Church, and Malcolm McDowell.

The movie is about high-schoolers and loosing virginity. Just everything about their story is wrong. To any of them girls I would say: "Get a life: study wonderful things, learn languages, learn mathematics, read poetry, travel the world, plant a garden." Instead, the high point of their days consists of gossiping about having or not having sex with equally boring and useless man. Their teachers are no better. Humanity at its lowest.
